Yep, today was day 730 with me and my Wii.
2 years.
Thought I do a little status check.
Two years ago today I was 21.5 pounds heavier than I was this morning. On that day I was exactly 30 lighter than when I had first started the journey.
One year ago today I was about 1.5 to 2 pounds heavier than today.
Basically the same.
Which is telling me that I am officially in the "maintenance" phase.
And that is fine.
It is also telling me that I'm doing a pretty darn good job with it.
I've been watching and monitoring long enough to know. I have about a 5 pound range that my body likes to be in. That's why I tell people that I've lost about 50 pounds. On any given day it could be 48 or 53 or anywhere in between.
I'm also getting the hint that it is time for a wardrobe overhaul. I've been pinning things and putting off making purchases until I knew for sure I was finished losing weight.
I'd have to say, that time has come. I've done a pretty good job, actually of cleaning out, just not replacing or altering. I have a lot of really good clothes that just need a little altering and I would prefer that to starting over. Took me 20 years to amass that work wardrobe and I REALLY don't want to spend that long in do-overs.
So.
Next steps.
I will keep you all updated. I still have some good ideas that I want to share, and talking to you all helps keeps me on the straight and narrow. So have no fear, the journey isn't over. We've just all turned a corner.
Can't wait to see what lies down this road!

Way to go Dee Dee!
Happy Shopping!
That is absolutely wonderful!!! I am very proud of you. You are much more disciplined than me. I will not even weigh to see how much I have gained since April as I don't think my psyce can take it. If you look at my pictures on Facebook from my birthday party last September I was at a very nice size. Because of all the complication of being on my sleep apnea machine I took my self off of the C-PaP machine in April. My quality of life was just not good. Kept a sinus infection all the time and sneezing and swollen eyes. It was awful!!! Well I started zooming up but I also was not too discipline and also was not longer accountable to anyone but my self. I am getting serious as I am leaving for Europe in two weeks and it is distressing to try on some of my things and all the rolls on my body sticking through. I sleep propped up on three pillows- one a wedge. When I get back I am going to try to see about getting on oxygen to sleep with.
Enough venting.....

AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU. LOSING IS SO HARD AND YOU MAKE IT SOUND SO EASY.
HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT BIRTHDAY. SORRY I LET IT GET BY ME.
WE LOVED YOUR RANDOM THOUGHTS ON YOUR DOGS. THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS, AND THEY WERE ALL SMILING.
TELL BILLY HELLO AND WE LOVE YOU BOTH.

Hi Deanne,
I hope you have some beautiful summer weather this weekend! It already feels like July here!
I just have to thank you for your continued encouragement on the maint. path of weight loss. I'm there with you and it is great to have someone that talks about the things I'm dealing with, like clothes that are too big! No one else wants you to talk about that because they either need to lose weight or aren't happy with their size. I have a large amount of clothes that I keep forever because I buy really nice clothes on really great sale racks! Which means I wear them for years! It also means I can't replenish that quickly because the great sale racks have to be scouted and watched in the small shops! I actually had a couple of extended family members tell me that I really needed to get some clothes that fit! I find myself looking in the mirror doing the same thing you blogged about a few months ago.........does this look tooo big? I used to be in a different place in my weight loss and was scared to wear things too big because then I would eat more thinking that I was doing really well! Another mind game I would play in the past! I'm at an entirely different place now, and I don't slip up for more than a couple of days, but it is still a battle, and I just really appreciate your honesty and encouragement!
Thanks so much!
Have a great weekend!
Lou
